Reininger 2013 Syrah

This REININGER Syrah was co-fermented on Viognier skins. Lovely fragrances of violet, orange blossom, fresh blueberry, and tangerine dance with savory notes that tease the nose. The wine elegantly bathes the palate with soft delicate tannins and handsome dried herbs melded with citrus tones that escort flavors of pomegranate, blueberry, and wild blackberry. It is not a “bull in the china shop” syrah. This is a beautiful and graceful syrah that is worthy of your most serene epicurean moments. - Chuck Reininger

Reininger 2010 Cima

Cima at first pour brings forth a creamy nose of black cherry pie, violets, and sassafras with a note of vanilla that evolves into classic Sangiovese sour cherry, sandalwood, suede, and cocoa powder. Its beautifully focused acidity and supple tannins deliver an exquisite fruit nucleus of tart dark cherry, plum, wild blackberry, black currant and roasted fig surrounded by layers of wet cedar, chocolate mousse and soft leather with a hint of sweet tobacco. This will certainly become a Reininger classic. - Chuck Reininger, Winemaker

Reininger 2013 Malbec

Our 2013 Malbec’s aromas and bouquet elicit memories of after work trail runs in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, where wild blackberries and thimbleberries often offered a welcoming indulgence as well as an excuse for a quick respite to truly digest the grandeur of the moment. A hint of cola accompanies this brambly nose. Velvety smooth tannins with a soft push of acid brings forth currant, black cherry, raspberry and a savory finish of dark cherry and a touch of plum with an intimation of tobacco. This Malbec is a beautiful alternative to our wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon.

Reininger 2013 Carmenère

Carmenere, the “Lost Bordeaux’, is the most unique of bordelaise grapes. This beautiful dark, crimson colored wine exhibits engaging aromas of cassis, fig, and spice with smoked cracked peppercorn fractured by a whip of leather. Its soft tannins deliver layers of dark fruit beginning with black cherry, black currant, and dried fig, peppered with spice, loam and peppercorn, and shadowed by swirling smoke casted by a sunset of Chambord. Take your time, let the wine breathe, explore and taste the ancient glacial Lake Missoula as it floods your palate.

Reininger 2013 Reserve Chardonnay

The REININGER Reserve Chardonnay was produced to emphasize the grape’s relationship with the vineyard’s fine sandy loam soils that lay over fractured basalt, while limiting winemaking influence.  The result is a Chardonnay that is medium golden-straw in color with pronounced mineral character that is matched with beautiful acidity, ripe pear, green apple, and tropical notes with a subtle use of oak that carries through the finish.

Reininger 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon

Our REININGER 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a generous garnet color, with fragrant scents of black currant, black cherry, savory spice, and hints of crushed rose petals and Sambuca. This is certainly showing its Walla Walla roots by spanning old world and new world supported by its two pillars of earthy, loamy dark fruit and savory herbs and spice while balancing its convivial acids with soft drying tannins. Mature black currant, and dark cherry are introduced with both medium plus acidity and body shadowed by a dash of black raspberry Chambord, toasted cedar, espresso with a blend of savory herbs.

Reininger 2014 Semillon

How wonderful, as well as unusual, it is to experience a 100% Walla Walla Valley Semillion. Opening the bottle immediately evoked a childhood flashback of crushing fresh green apples. Its crisp, clean lanolin palate just may inspire me to write a book on the Zen of winemaking. Green apples, a blade of straw, a hint of lemon grass, lemon and papaya wrap this into the sexiest Reininger white wine ever! Enjoy with Brasserie Four’s fresh pan seared Idaho Trout in clarified butter. - Chuck Reininger

Reininger 2012 Mr Owl's Red

When the Reininger children were young, they had difficulty pronouncing the name of the man who began working with us. The children would call him “Mr. Owl!” In 2002, Raul Morfin became our Assistant Winemaker and the first Mr. Owl’s Red vintage was crafted.

“Mi favorito!” says Raul. On first pour, the deep ruby color hints at the flavors and aromas to come. From beginning to end, raspberries, ripe plums and toasted vanilla erupt from the glass. Silky tannins and well balanced acidity brings forth black raspberry, currant and a touch of loam on the finish. This is the perfect table wine. Salud!

To further thank Raul, REININGER donates $5 of every bottle sold to his favorite Walla Walla charity, Friends of the Farm Labor Homes Community.

Reininger 2011 Mr Owl's Red

Mr. Owl’s Red is made in honor of our Assistant Winemaker, Raul Morfin, who oversaw the blending of this wine and the preparation of its tasting notes. A percentage of the wine’s proceeds will go to a charity of Raul’s choosing.

Bing Bing Bing Cherry.  Good, smooth, friendly, wine with nice acid. Tones of pomegranate in the mid-palate, preceded by raspberry and bing cherries, along with its soft tannins, provide a playful character that won’t weigh you down.- Salud, Raul Morfin
